DESIGN EXPLORATION 2

KARIM RASHID is one of the most significant cultural shapers in the world today.

He is a leading figure in the fields of product, furniture, fashion, lighting and art.

He believe our spaces should be curved and conceptual, and engage technology, visuals, colours, as well as all the needs that are intrinsic to living a simpler, less cluttered but more sensual envelopment.

He called it design “sensual minimalism”.
“Sensualism” is mean which you concentrate on the subject matter of the object rather than on the form of the object.

According to KARIM RASHID's design, contemporary design is something new and simply.

Nowadays, people start to seek designs for furniture that can be stark, yet functional.
To summarize, contemporary furniture can be classified as urban and innovative in regards to current furniture trends.

As we known, plastic is a kind of material that not so good at the environmental movement.

Some type of plastic can not be recycled and give harm to our environment.
But according to my research, some of them can be recycled also.

Plastic is actually a kind of material that sustainable, recyclable, durable, malleable, comfortable.
With new technologies such as rotomoulding, plastic able to be created sensual and organic shapes that have never existed.
